Alex Rodriguez recently spoke to People Magazine about his charity work and of course about his relationship with Madonna.
When asked about his relationship with Madonna he said:
“We’re friends”
When asked if there is any romance between them at all he said:
“We’re friends – that’s it.”
There have been so many rumors about the two of them – i have lost count. From flying around the country for some alone time, to attending numerous concerts of Madonna, to moving in together – A-Rod summed it up by saying:
“You have to have a sense of humor when it comes to this stuff. If I answered every rumor we’d be here for three weeks.”
I don’t believe they are just friends. Remember the movie, ‘When Harry Met Sally’?? Is it humanly possible for a heterosexual man to be “just friends” with a heterosexual woman. I’m going to go with I doubt it. What about you – what do you think??

Barbara Walter’s hosted the 16th edition of The 10 Most Fascinating People. I was not surprised when she announced that the Most Fascinating Person for 2008 was President Elect, Barack Obama. I don’t believe there could have been ANY competition for this one. Who else was more fascinating than Barack??

Unless you are living under a rock – everyone has heard of Katie Holmes. She went from being the ”cute girl from Dawson’s Creek” to the wife of Tom Cruise. She lives an an incredibly high-profile life – but says many people still have the wrong idea about her.
Katie Holmes speaks to The New York Times Style Magazine, scheduled to be released on Sunday. In the magazine, Katie stated:
“There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life and that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong. “
Katie married Tom in 2006 – her official prince. She stated:
“When I met Tom I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up – he’s Tom Cruise! … When I met him, he was so warm and I thought, Wow! You can be a superstar and a human being. He made me feel so amazing.”
Katie maintains her happiness by tuning out a lot of the chatter about herself . She has too much to do and as she puts it:
“I’m a mom and an actress with a play to do every night. I can’t pay attention to all that noise.”
It definitely takes a strong person to tune out all the “noise” . Especially the noise of the cameras clicking and following her every move. I give her a lot of credit – it can’t be easy.

Jennifer Hudson has been through the most trying time in her life. Her mother, brother and nephew were recently murdered in their Chicago home. Jennifer received four Grammy nominations and expressed her gratitude by stating:
“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”
Jennifer Hudsonwas nominated for best R&B album for her self-titled album, best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song for “Spotlight” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for her duet with Fantasia, “I’m His Only Woman.”
The nominations were announced on the same day her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, was ordered held without bail in the Chicago shooting deaths of Jennifer’s mother, brother and nephew.
How bittersweet.
