I love reading what the celebrities give their children when the holidays roll around. Kate Hudson had said that she likes to do homemade gifts and Reese Witherspoon said that she keeps her spending to a minimum.
Now we have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stating that they aren’t big spenders for their kids and prefer making crafts to giving pricey presents.
Brad tells Hello Magazine:
“We do exchange gifts, although we don’t feel any pressure to make them big or expensive gifts,”
Yet with their luxe lifestyle, how do the youngsters avoid craving tons of holiday loot? By nixing TV.
By cutting out the television – Brad is able to save a lot of money. Brad stated:
“The kids don’t ask for the big gifts for the reason that they don’t see a lot of the American cartoon television, which is packed with all those manipulative commercials for big toys that look so fantastic. When they do see that stuff is when they start asking for the toys, so we figure if they don’t see them, they won’t know they’re there. So we have gifts, but we try to keep the money spent to a minimum.”
As soon as my kids see a commercial – they want it. It doesn’t matter what it is. It could be a piece of string and they would still want it if it was on television. I’m sure most parents would agree with this one since I can’t tell you how many times I have been to the toy store for that “advertised” item only to have it SOLD OUT!!

Had to question this one – since Jennifer Lopez is denying that there is any truth to the latest rumors about her marital problems.
US Magazine is reporting that there is trouble in the Jennifer and Marc’s marriage. This story comes from the photos that were recently taken of Jennifer Lopez without her wedding band.
Jennifer showed up to the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last week without her 8-carat diamond engagement ring, wedding band – or her husband, Marc Anthony (who was spotted in Las Vegas sans wedding band the weekend before).
Paradise is not what it seems – a source close to Marc Anthony stated:
“He’s very, very controlling of her. The skirts aren’t as short. You don’t see so much of that booty anymore.”
It has also been reported that Marc also picks out Jennifer’s clothes and keeps tabs on her phone calls.
Not sure what the state of their marriage is at this point but we definitely see a lot less of Jennifer since she has been with Marc. It makes you wonder if its because she prefers it that way or if he tells her that she prefers it that way. What do you think??

Star Magazine has reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have signed a pre-nup before they walk down the aisle. Seeing that the source was Star Magazine this created a lot of doubt.
A rep for Angelina tells MomLogic.com:
“There is no truth to any of these claims.”
Pitt once swore off marriage until it was legalized for everyone, but admitted earlier this month he’d wed Jolie
“if we feel it’s important to our kids.”
