Britney’s Dad Gets a Raise!!

According to US Magazine, Britney Spears father,Jamie Spears, was earning about $10,000-a-month for his court-ordered supervision of the singer, but a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner gave him a $6,000-a-month raise on Monday.

Jamie will also receive an additional $1,200-a-month expense account to keep an office, where he will be working on Britney’s conservatorship and getting her personal life back on track.

Jamie was first put in temporary control of his daughter’s affairs on Feb. 1 following her two forced hospitalizations in January.

As a parent – I can’t imagine being paid to take care of my own children. What do you think – should Jamie Spears be paid to control his daughter’s life?? I know she’s an adult but to be paid to keep your daughter on the straight and narrow seems a bit odd.

Lance Armstrong and Anna Hansen Expecting Baby!!

People Magazine has confirmed that Lance Armstrong and his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, are expecting their first child together in June 2009. This will be Lance’s 4th child.
Lance said:

“Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful,” he says in a statement. “We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts.
We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family.”

Lance’s children were conceived through in vitro fertilization with sperm frozen prior to Armstrong undergoing chemotherapy.
Lance and Anna’s baby was unplanned (obviously), and indicates that after all these years, testicular cancer survivor Lance’s sperm are working again. This is rare and only happens to a small handful of survivors.

That must have been quite a surprise for the both of them. Congratulations Lance and Anna.

Spencer Refuses to Legally Wed Heidi

Can you believe Spencer actually did the stand up thing and decided against making his marriage to Heidi legal. After all the hype and the cattiness between Spencer and pretty much everyone – including Heidi’s mom – Heidi and Spencer are NOT married.

In the end it was their families that convinced Spencer not to follow through with the quickie courthouse ceremony. During the finale, Heidi’s mom, Darlene, told Spencer,

“I know you manipulated and plotted this whole wedding. It’s too fast, too much. You know she had dreams of a bigger wedding. I can’t let you go to the courthouse and make this wedding legal.” Last month, Darlene Egelhoff told Us Weekly that she didn’t trust Spencer.

Spencer’s sister, Stephanie also had a strong opinion about the civil ceremony, telling him,
“You can’t do this. She’s going to regret this. I think this is wrong.”

Fact or Fiction – Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin DO NOT Get Along??

Star Magazine is reporting (hence the fact or fiction question) that Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are not getting along on the set of 30 Rock.

On-set sources claim the Emmy-winning entertainers have repeatedly bumped heads behind the scenes of the hit NBC comedy in recent weeks. Some fear it’s only a matter of time before tempers reach their boiling point.

This would NOT be a surprise to anyone who has heard about Alec’s VERY BAD TEMPER. It is probably more surprising that Alec has not had any incidents prior to this.
According to the Star, during a recent photo shoot, Alec and Tina had some nasty words:

Alec started by saying, Get ready to do a lot of airbrushing.” Tina, who has a childhood scar on her left cheek, fired back, “Something wrong with my face?” Alec upped the ante by saying it’s her entire body that’s the problem. “Tina shot back that this was coming from a guy with a double chin who thinks Sarah Palin is hot.”

Not sure if this is just two castmates taking some friendly bantering too far or if they really don’t get along. What do you think??

Tom Cruise Skips Son’s 1st Movie Premiere

Yes – its true. Tom Cruise skipped, Connor’s 1st movie premiere, Seven Pounds.

According to MSNBC, Cruise opted to stay in New York to continue his publicity blitz for his film “Valkyrie.”

I’m not sure why he wouldn’t skip one night of publicity for his son. It wouldn’t be the first time Cruise did a cross-country sprint: last December he flew from L.A. to New York and back to support friend, Will Smith, at his “I am Legend” premiere.

It makes me feel bad for Connor. Do you think Tom Cruise made a mistake on this one? ? Would you be upset if you were Connor??

Too Much Information from Pete Wentz on Ashlee

TMI – again. It seems that Fall Out Boy, Peter Wentz was on Sirius, The Morning Mash Up, telling the world that he has tasted wife Ashlee Simpson’s breast milk – for anyone that needs to know – it tastes “soury” and “weird”.

I didn’t need to know that. Just reading about it makes me cringe. I wonder if celebrities have any regrets after they read what they have said. What do you think? Regrets or no regrets?

Reconciliation for Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag??

I hope the buzz is true and only a few hours until we know for sure.

According to US Magazine, after hearing about Heidi’s wedding to Spencer, Lauren Conrad decides to make amends with her one-time BFF, Heidi.

“I know how to be her best friend, and I know how to hate her, and I don’t know how to do anything in between,” she tells pal Lo Bosworth.

Lauren later approaches Heidi at a club and asks if she’s happy.

“The only thing really missing in my life is you,” Heidi admits through tears as they hug. “It’s really hard.”
