According to Brooke Shields who spoke to reporters at Sunday’s Kidsfest in NYC, there are supposed to be emergency meetings today to determine the status of Lipstick Jungle.
There seemed to be some confusion since “My Own Worst Enemy” has stopped production that the same thing had happened to “Lipstick Jungle”
According to Brooke,
We’re still working. We still have more to do, so it’s erroneously presented that we’ve been canceled, thank God.
Our bosses are saying, ‘You’re not canceled, don’t worry. We’re just trying to figure out how to make this make sense.'”
As a sign of support fans have already sent in tubes of lipstick to Jeff Zucker, president & CEO of NBC Universal.
It’s been insane,” she went on. “I think that the public outcry has been crazy, and it’s kind of wonderful.”
The problem a number of the television shows are having, Lipstick Jungle included is that the public has turned to their DVR. This means you get to watch a 1 hour show in 40 minutes. With the public so time conscious, every minute counts.
This also means that the advertisers are taking a huge hit. They are paying millions of dollars only to have the viewers fast forward when a commercial comes on. I know I am GUILTY of this.
