Accompanied by Harvard men in drag, Renee Zellweger has been honored as the Hasty Pudding Theatricals woman of the year. Hasty Pudding is the nation’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe. By tradition, many of its male members wear women’s clothes for the parade.
The actress rode in the back of a silver convertible Bentley during a parade through Harvard Square on Thursday. She waved to spectators while capturing the event on her cell phone camera.
The Hasty Pudding Theatricals Man of the Year is James Franco. James is set to receive his award on February 13th.
The Man and Woman of the Year awards are presented annually to performers who have made a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment.” The Woman of the Year award has been granted to many notable entertainers, including Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Elizabeth Taylor, and, most recently, Charlize Theron. The Man of the Year’s past recipients include Clint Eastwood, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Bruce Willis, and, last year, Christopher Walken.
Congratulations to Renee and James!!

JOHN TRAVOLTA and KELLY PRESTON were supported by a small group of family and friends as they mourned the tragic death of their son JETT at a private memorial service on Thursday.
The 16-year-old died after suffering a seizure during a family vacation in the Bahamas on January 2nd, 2009.
The grieving family, including young daughter Ella Bleu, flew back to their home in Florida for the memorial service.
The tragic death of Jett triggered a string of condolences from well-wishers and Travolta’s film co-stars, with Tom Cruise struggling to find words to convey his grief on The View, saying,
“It’s horrific. Both of them are doting parents. Wonderful people.”
Photographers surrounded the home trying to get photos of the family. At this time privacy is all the family needs. I wish the photographers could forget about getting that “great” grieving photo for one moment and remember the Travolta’s are mourning the greatest loss in thier lives. What do you think???

I know I keep writing about this story but I can’t help myself. It is like an accident that everyone slows down for. Because it is the unimagineable for any parent – I find myself reading, feeling absolutely sick to my stomach and then writing about the loss of Jett Travolta.
In any case – like all of their fans out there – celebrities are pouring in with their support for John Travolta and Kelly Preston during this awful time.
Oprah is just one of the many celebrities who have expressed their condolences. Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks have all sent messages of support to the family, and now Billy Ray Cyrus, whose teenage daughter Miley starred alongside Travolta in animated movie Bolt, has sent his condolences to the grief-stricken family.
He tells E! Online,
“Our thoughts and prayers are with John and his family. They’re great human beings and strong people. And, again, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
I love the holidays – especially the holiday cards. This is the one time of year that I actually run to the mailbox.
Check out some of the holiday cards that our favorite celebrities sent out this year.
Britney Spear’s Holiday Card
The Cruise Family’s Holiday Card
The Kardashian Holiday Card
I like Britney’s card. What about you – do you like any of the cards??
Yes – its true. Tom Cruise skipped, Connor’s 1st movie premiere, Seven Pounds.
According to MSNBC, Cruise opted to stay in New York to continue his publicity blitz for his film “Valkyrie.”
I’m not sure why he wouldn’t skip one night of publicity for his son. It wouldn’t be the first time Cruise did a cross-country sprint: last December he flew from L.A. to New York and back to support friend, Will Smith, at his “I am Legend” premiere.
It makes me feel bad for Connor. Do you think Tom Cruise made a mistake on this one? ? Would you be upset if you were Connor??
Tom Cruise sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show this morning to discuss his new movie Valkyrie.
Tom has not been on the Today Show since the famous discussion he had with Matt about antidepressants, where Tom became very agitated.
This morning he admitted he ‘came across arrogant’ in 2005.
